1.           Why have you decided to present at the Smithers MetCoke 2024?

          "  MetCoke is a well-recognized conference and SMS group would like to share to its audience some of our latest projects implemented in the industry."

2.           Your presentation is titled " Environmental Solutions for Coke Oven Plants" can you tell us why you felt this topic should be shared with the Smithers MetCoke audience?

          "  Environmental regulations and emission limits are becoming more stringent as time goes by and it is important to show to larger audiences the technological advancements that have been made for emission control."

3.           What do you hope delegates will take from your presentation?

            "I hope the presentation gives insights of available technologies in the market with the purpose to contribute to a cleaner industry."

4.           What industry barriers/challenges exist, technical or otherwise, that prevent progress? How does this event help to address those challenges?

            "Cost and the conservatism of our industry. MetCoke helps bringing together decision makers from the various coal and coke producers. Having them in the audience is key to promote cost-benefit solutions for the cokemaking industry."

5.           What are some of the most interesting and/or innovative solutions that are impacting your work currently?

           " It is impressive how AI is affecting our lives on both personal and professional ways. We have been using this intelligence to create better solutions for our industry as well."

6.           Are there any coming regulations that you anticipate will impact the MetCoke industry and your work specifically?

            "The decarbonization of the steel production is already impacting the MetCoke industry and related technological providers in the search for lower carbon footprint routes."

7.           What are you most looking forward to at the conference?

            "Learning how the industry is looking for the coming years and how we can contribute to a successful business."
